To reduce the compliances burden, Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has launched “Companies Fresh Start Scheme-2020”.
Under this scheme, pending previous statutory filings which are defaulted by Companies such as documents, returns, statements required to be filed on MCA21 electronic registry, could be filed with normal filing fees i.e. without any additional / late fees levy pending non submission of required returns.
Scheme also gives inactive company opportunity to apply for Dormant Company U/s 455 of Companies Act, by filing simple application at a normal fee and avoiding getting striked off from the registry.
Immunity from prosecution proceedings and additional time limit for appeal to Regional Director against order of Adjudicating Officer are also available under the said scheme.
This scheme will
commence from 01/04/2020 and remain available till 30/09/2020.
